I fredags åbnede Normanns flagship store i København en slikbutik for voksne. Slikket består af lækkerier i form af alt godt til skrivebordet. Det sælges kun som et samlet koncept til større design butikker rundt om i verden. Man kan ikke købe det online, så man skal forbi butikken og se det i rette sammenhæng. Konceptet som de kalder Daily Fiction er udviklet i samarbejde med designbureauet Femmes Regionales. Daily Fiction består af mere end 200 mindre designs såsom notes bøger, gavepapir, blyanter, sakse og meget andet. Der er udviklet forskellige grafiske prints og den lyseblå farve på reolerne er gennemgående. Til konceptet er også udviklet et unikt farvekort, hvor pasteller er dominerende.

Last Friday Normann Copenhagen opened a candy store for adults in their flagship store in Copenhagen. The sweets consist of delights in the form of design stationary. It’s only being sold in a full concept for design shops around the world. You can not buy it online, so you have to go by the store and see it in the right context. They call the concept Daily Fiction and it is developed in collaboration with the design agency Femmes Regionales. Daily Fiction consists of more than 200 smaller designs such as note books, gift paper, pencils, scissors and much more. There are developed various graphic prints and the light blue colour on the shelves are the main colour. For the concept is also developed a unique colour card, where pastels are dominating.

DIY-ORIGAMI GAVE.

Som den passionerede DIY’er jeg er…elsker jeg jo al slags fint papir, skønne klistermærker og smukke sakse. Så jeg vil lige vise jer en måde jeg fik brugt lidt papir på forleden, da vi skulle til konfirmation. For som alle andre drenge ønskede konfirmanden sig penge. Og jeg ved ikke noget mere upersonligt som at komme med penge, men jeg fik lavet et fint billede til ham der alligevel havde personlighed.

As the passionated DIY’er I am … I love all kinds of colourful papers, beautiful stickers and stylish scissors. So I will show you how I used some paper the other day, for a gift where the boy wanted cash. It is always a bit tricky when you have to give money as a gift, because it the most un-creative gift you can give, but here I turned it into a personal gift.

Dette skal du bruge/ You will need this:

– dyb ramme / 3D frame (denne er fra CCHobby)
papir i forskellige farver og mønstre / paper in different colours and patterns
en tynd tusch / a thin marker
en limstift / Glue stick
dobbeltklæbende tape / Doublesided tape

Sådan gør du:

Vælg et motiv…som her hvor jeg valgte at lave en rampe, på en baggrund af blå farver, og tegn herefter et lille skateboard på, fold pengesedler som bukser og skjorte (der ligger masser af vejledninger til det på youtube, hvis du søger på “how to fold an origami shirt and pants”) og så manglede vi en seddel mere, så han fik også hat på. Herefter fandt vi et billede med hans ansigt og printede ud, så det passer i størrelsen. Lim først bukserne på, så skjorten og lim herefter ansigtet på og sidst hatten. Husk ikke at lime pengesedlerne med limstiften, men brug i stedet dobbeltklæbende tape (det skal være en som du kan tage af igen uden at ødelægge pengesedlerne). Og til sidst tegner du arme og hænder på. Og skal det være topchecket kunne du jo lime sådan et finger skateboard på i stedet for at tegne det.

How to make it:

Choose a design … for example as this where I chose to make a ramp, on a background of blue coloured paper cut in a graphic pattern. After that I draw a small skateboard, fold banknotes as pants and shirt (there are plenty of guides for it on youtube if you looking at “how to fold an origami shirt and pants”) and because I needed one more note, he also got a hat. And then I found a picture of his face and printed out in the right size. First you attach his pants, then his shirt. After that you glue his face and at last the hat. Remember not to glue the banknotes with the glue stick, but instead, use double-sided tape (it must be one that you can take off again without destroying the banknotes). And finally draw the arms and hands on. And do you want it more 3 D then find a small finger skateboard and glue on instead of drawing the skateboard.
